Derek Banyard, M.D., M.B.A., M.S.


Dr. Banyard is an internationally recognized scientist and physician in Orange County, California. His areas of expertise include facial aesthetics, wound healing, fat grafting, and the regenerative components of adipose tissue. Influenced by his training in both general and plastic & reconstructive surgery, Dr. Banyard takes a very practical approach to ensuring clinically translatable solutions to challenging research questions. Dr. Banyard holds a B.A. in in cognitive science from the University of Virginia, an M.D. from Meharry Medical College, an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University, and a Master of Biomedical and Translational Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. He previously served as the chief scientist at the Center for Tissue Engineering in the Department of Plastic Surgery at UC Irvine and is a current member of the Regenerative Subcommittee of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has authored over 100 abstracts, posters, book chapters, and articles and currently holds 2 medical device patents.

Brian S. Biesman, M.D.


Dr. Biesman is the Director of his own practice in Nashville, Tennessee, where he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. Dr. Biesman earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan School of Medicine, in Ann Arbor, Michigan and completed an ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago, Illinois. He then completed a fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City and returned to Illinois to serve as chief resident of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Biesman has been published widely in peer-reviewed journals and has lectured extensively throughout the country. His research interests include optimizing and expanding the use of existing soft tissue fillers, exploring novel injectable fillers, optimization of energy-based devices for aesthetic applications, development and testing of novel energy-based devices, development and testing of cosmeceuticals, and development of combination therapy techniques for rejuvenation of the body and face. He also is actively pursuing novel treatment of acne, hyperhidrosis, syringomas, xanthelasma, and other dermatologic disorders. He is a principal investigator in many industry sponsored and investigator initiated clinical trials and has published extensively in the peer reviewed literature. Dr. Biesman is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, among others. He was been recognized for his Excellence in Education by the ASLMS and received the Henry Baylis Lectureship Award from ASOPRS.

Young Cho, M.D. Ph.D.


Dr. Young Cho is a Board Certified plastic surgeon and Director of Integrated Aesthetics, a Houston-area aesthetic specialty office that provides both plastic surgical and dermatological patient care. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada; a PhD from Cambridge University in Cambridge, England; an MD from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT; and plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Cho is dedicated to providing patients with the latest in surgical and non-surgical options to help them along their aesthetic journey. Dr. Cho’s passion for learning and teaching affords him many opportunities to educate the professional aesthetic and wellness community throughout the United States. He is a national trainer for Allergan and Galderma. Dr. Cho teaches suture suspension techniques using InstaLift, and advance off-label injection techniques for face and body. He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Aesthetics Society.

Joel L. Cohen, M.D.


Dr. Cohen is an internationally-recognized expert on skin cancer and aesthetics. He is the Medical Director of AboutSkin Dermatology and DermSurgery, and AboutSkin Research in metropolitan-Denver, Colorado. He was named a Top Dermatologist by US News and World Report, Castle Connelly Regional Top Doctor (2013-2020), and voted by his peers as one of Denver’s Top Doctors in 5280 magazine NINE times. He is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, Fellowship-trained in Mohs Surgery, Lasers, and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Cohen lectures regularly at both national and international meetings and participates in many clinical trials. Dr. Cohen was elected to serve as a national instructor in dermatologic surgical and aesthetic procedures by the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) as well as the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). He serves on the teaching faculty of the Department of Dermatology at University of California Irvine as an Associate Professor, and is a fellowship Director for the ASDS Dermatologic Surgery Colorado Fellowship. He has received many prestigious awards including the Melanoma Research Foundation Humanitarian of the year award, the ASDS Public Service Award, the ASCDAS Distinguished Service Award, the ASDS Traveling Mentorship & Teaching Award, and the ASDS Excellence in Education Award. He has been the recipient of the Patients Choice Award from 2010-2020.

Kamakshi R. Zeidler, M.D.


Dr. Zeidler, a board certified plastic surgeon, is the co-founder of Aesthetx, the premier plastic surgery and dermatology practice in the Silicon Valley. As a thought leader and visionary in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Zeidler is a leading authority and clinical investigator who partners with companies to bring new technologies and innovative products to the field. Dr. Zeidler prides herself on being a bridge between the needs of her patients and these leading companies to help shape the way new products enter the market. An author and lecturer worldwide, her exquisite plastic surgery outcomes have earned her renown not only in the heart of California, but around the world. Dr. Zeidler is an advocate for women’s health and also serves on the board of directors of Cancer CAREpoint. Dr. Zeidler received a B.A. degree with honors from Rice University. She obtained her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Zeidler completed her plastic surgery residency and postdoctoral research fellowship at UCSF followed by an advanced microsurgical fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center.

Brian Zelickson, M.D.


Dr. Zelickson graduated from the University of Colorado in 1982 and the Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota, in 1986. His post–graduate medical training included one year at the Hennepin County Medical Center and three years at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine. In 1990, he received special training in Immunoelectron microscopy under a fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He has published more than 60 medical journal articles in the field and has 15 medical patents including medical device patents and treatment methodology patents. Most recently, Dr. Zelickson developed and launched MD Complete, a skin care product line providing professional anti-aging and skin clearing benefits based upon his clinical experience, knowledge, and research. Although he has extensive training in all aspects of dermatology, Dr. Zelickson’s special medical interests include laser tissue interaction and teledermatology. He is nationally recognized for his accomplishments and contributions to laser medicine and surgery. Dr. Brian D. Zelickson currently runs a private practice in Minneapolis, Zel Skin & Laser Specialists.
